MINUTE OF THE GBHS CLASS OF 92 GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Date: April 12, 2025
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Venue: Nzung Bridget's Residence
Attendance: Started with 10 members, ended with 13 members
1. Opening:
The meeting commenced at 5:00 PM with an opening prayer led by Anuzeshieh Ernest, followed by the introduction of members.
2. Welcome Address & Project Presentation:
The day’s coordinator, Mr. Emile Arrey, delivered a welcome speech and proceeded to present a Five-Year Project Plan. He elaborated on the following key points:
i) Networking:
He emphasized the importance of lives coming together to achieve a divine purpose or project. He encouraged members to contribute shares or finances for collective growth and explained how networking works, using both internal and external examples.
ii) Business Development:
Mr. Arrey highlighted the need for members to unite in establishing businesses, firms, and various other sustainable projects.
iii) Empowerment:
He noted that once finances are in place and projects are launched, the dividends generated will serve to empower members and strengthen the bonds among them.
iv) Watchmen Concept:
He concluded by stressing the need for us to be our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers, watching out for one another in all areas.
3. Deliberations on Share Contribution:
Following the project presentation, the General Assembly adopted the proposal and immediately deliberated on share contributions. It was unanimously agreed that:
Each registered member will contribute 120,000 FCFA per year,
Equivalent to 10,000 FCFA monthly.
It was further agreed that once the association is registered and a bank account opened, all funds will be deposited into the account while awaiting project initiation.
4. Constitution Review:
The adjusted constitution was reviewed and generally appreciated. Strong emphasis was laid on the scope of assistance the association will provide. Assistance will be extended only to:
Biological children
Parents
Legally married or common-law spouses
Members themselves
5. Formation of a Transitional Board:
The following individuals were elected as interim board members to lead the association's initial activities:
President: Mr. Emile Arrey
Coordinator: Mr. Suh Gilbert Neba
General Secretary: Mr. Anuzeshieh Ernest
Financial Secretary: Mrs. Njike Lilian
Treasurer: Mrs. Nzung Bridget
The transitional board has been tasked with:
Legalizing the association
Dividing the registered members into four (4) groups
Assigning each group to host the General Assembly on a rotational basis
This is expected to be completed before the next meeting scheduled for June 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The venue will be communicated in the forum.
6. Other Matters
Member Registration Deadline:
The deadline for member registration was set for May 31, 2025.
New Forum for Registered Members Only:
After the registration deadline, a new forum will be created exclusively for registered members.
Association Slogan:
The adopted slogan of the association is:
Class 92... UNITY!
Class 92... SOLIDARITY!
Class 92... UNITY, SOLIDARITY, and NETWORKING!
7. Closing Remarks & Appreciation:
The meeting continued with Item 11, followed by closing remarks from the coordinator of the day, now the President of the Association, Mr. Emile Arrey.
A special note of appreciation was extended to Madam Nzung Bridget for her selfless service in the kitchen.
8. Adjournment:
The meeting concluded at 8:30 PM, with a total of 13 members present.
